Digi Trailblazers
Digi Trailblazers is part of Instituto Sapiência's Digi pathway — a hands-on progression in digital skills for young learners, aligned with NCC Education's Young Learners framework. Students explore computing, safe online communication and creative problem-solving through project work, moving through age-appropriate stages that build real-world confidence with technology.
Who this course is for
Young learners aged 6–17 (grouped by stage) who want a structured, playful and progressive introduction to computing, safe online behaviour and creative digital problem-solving.
What you'll study
- Digital literacy & safe online communication
- Computational thinking through games and puzzles
- Introduction to coding (block-based → text-based)
- Creating with digital media (audio, image, video)
- Working with data in age-appropriate contexts
- Collaborative project work with peer presentation

Entry requirements
Open entry within the age band of the stage. Prior digital study is not required. Recommended English at CEFR A1+ for course materials, with support available for younger learners.
Duration & study mode
Termly sessions, on-campus and hybrid.
Assessment
Coursework-led assessment through applied assignments, portfolio work and case studies. Internally marked at Instituto Sapiência and externally verified by NCC Education (UK). Where relevant, the awarding university sets and marks the final-year project.
Career outcomes
Confidence in schoolwork that uses computers, safer digital habits at home, and a smooth on-ramp to Level 2 and Level 3 UK-regulated study when the learner is ready.
Progression
The full ladder ends at a UK Top-up Bachelor's degree (BSc / BEng) or, on the postgraduate route, at the MBA Top-up with a UK partner university.
